How to Request a Painting or Small Repair Estimate in Southern Indiana

By MCM Home Maintenance ·

A bedroom that needs paint, a sticking door and a few drywall patches can sit on a to-do list for months. You can start an MCM Home Maintenance estimate with a few clear photos, your city or ZIP and a short explanation of what you want finished. For a seasonal planning list, see our small repairs before holiday guests arrive.

MCM helps homeowners, landlords and property managers in Clarksville, Jeffersonville, New Albany and nearby Southern Indiana. Small jobs are welcome. Text photos to 502-489-1222, or use the free estimate request form.

Take a wide photo and a close view

Start with one picture showing the whole room or work area. Add a close view of the damage or detail, then another angle if it helps explain the job. Good light makes peeling paint, wall damage and trim details easier to see. Photograph only areas you can reach safely; there is no need to climb for an estimate photo.

For a painting project, include the room dimensions and ceiling height if you know them. Say whether the work includes walls, ceilings, doors or trim. For drywall, describe the approximate size and number of damaged spots. For a door, explain whether it sticks, will not latch or needs a different repair.

Describe the finished result

A photo shows the starting point. A sentence about the result helps us understand the work. For example: paint the bedroom walls while keeping the existing white trim, patch the damaged wall and repaint the room, or adjust the door so it closes and latches.

Tell us if you already have the paint, a preferred color or a replacement part. We can confirm what is suitable and what the estimate includes before anything is purchased or scheduled.

Include your location and timing

Send your city or ZIP so we can check the service area. Include your target date and whether the property is occupied or vacant. Landlords and property managers can also describe access arrangements and who approves the work. Keep entry codes and other sensitive access information out of public posts; share necessary details privately.

Combine the small jobs into one list

If several rooms or repairs need attention, put them into one short list and mark the priorities. Separate the work you want quoted now from items you may do later. This gives us a clearer picture of the visit and helps keep the estimate focused.

Review the scope before booking

Photos help us start the conversation. Some projects need measurements, more pictures or an in-person look before a final price can be provided. You will review a written scope and price before the work is scheduled. Confirm the preparation, materials, surfaces being painted or repaired, cleanup and any exclusions so everyone understands the same job.
